Denver, CO - Mini Movie Fest

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

MINI MOVIE FESTIVAL

Mini Movie Festival is a showcase and an investigation of movies made on digital still cameras and camera phones. Mini Movie Festivals are free and open to the public. The 1st Denver Mini Movie Fest will be held at the Hi-dive on Sunday, January 8, 2006 beginning at 7pm.

The public is invited to participate as follows:
-3 unedited movies may be submitted per participant
-60 second time limit per mini movie
-movies should be formatted as quicktime .mov or .avi files
-submitted to: charlesroderick@gmail.com (Please contact me via email to arrange a file transfer. Submissions may be entered up to the day of the screening)
-come to the screening

Screening: Sunday, January 8, 2006 at 7pm
Location: Hi-dive, 7 S. Broadway, Denver, CO

Mini Movie festivals have previously been held in Grand Rapids, MI; Champaign-Urbana, IL; Chicago, IL and Portland, OR.

If it hasn't been obvious, Josh and myself (Hideous Beast) have been active with OPENSOURCE Art - an space in downtown Champaign dedicated to providing a venue for activities and events that have, can, and may not have a home otherwise. In other words, we pay rent and don't have many people outside ourselves to answer to. Anyway, follow the link and see what's next.

The public is invited to participate as follows:
-3 unedited movies may be submitted per participant
-60 second time limit per mini movie
-movies should be formatted as quicktime .mov files
-submitted to: minimovies@dynamitefamily.com
or dropped off at messhall-  6932 North Glenwood, Chicago
-come to the screening
